Partner Damien H. Weinstein recently presented to the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants on issues related to a remote workforce, employee burnout, and bringing employees back to the office. Damien was joined by Laura Crothers Osborn and Lauren Baptiste rom Crothers Consulting.
One topic that members asked about: dealing with employee anxiety and concern about returning to work. This is something employers have have to deal with and there are ways to do this “right”, including (but of course not limited to):
- Telling employees what you’re doing to keep them safe
- Informing employees about “return to work” plans, including who is coming back, when they’re coming back, and what the office will look like
- Educating employees about COVID risks and ways they can keep safe (including the benefits of vaccination)
- Encouraging employees to raise concerns about COVID safety without fear of retaliation
What’s the takeaway? Communicate, communicate, and then communicate some more!
