Laura M. Garcia

Laura is a partner at the firm and primarily focuses her practice on corporate transactions and corporate counseling, advising clients on complex M&A transactions, commercial contracts, and business strategy. Laura believes that every transaction, like every individual, is unique. She doesn’t slap on a one-size-fits-all strategy; instead, she tailors her approach to ensure it complements her clients’ unique needs.

In her professional journey, Laura has spearheaded mergers and acquisitions, drafted client services agreements in nearly every industry, secured default judgments for clients, and championed in the resolution of an array of claims involving corporate governance, partnership conflicts, and commercial liability. While her expertise is evident in her results, she doesn’t just hand over advice; she empowers her clients with the tools they need to thrive even when she isn’t in the room. If there’s a training session on effective contract drafting and business management, sexual harassment, discrimination, or reasonable accommodations, chances are Laura is leading it.

When she’s not in the courtroom, at her desk, or brainstorming with clients, Laura is deeply entrenched in the community, with a particular focus on minority and women-owned businesses. Her commitment and care shines through in the free seminars she offers on contracts and business strategies for that community.

As for Laura away from work, she loves nerding out on television and film, especially anything released by A24, and is a fan of the arts in general, including photography, music, and poetry. Laura is also an avid gamer and an animal lover (especially cats, but don’t hold that against her!).

Laura was named a “Rising Star” by the Thomson Reuters New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2024 and 2025. Less than 2.5% of lawyers in each state under the age of 40 receive this award.
